Delete your PingCrood account

You can delete your PingCrood account yourself at any time — from the app or from PingCrood Web. If you can't sign in any more, write to us and we'll do it for you.

Delete it in the PingCrood app

  1. Open PingCrood and tap You in the bar at the bottom.
  2. Tap Account details.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Enter your password — and your six-digit code if two-step verification is on — then tap Delete my account.

Delete it on PingCrood Web

  1. Go to web.pingcrood.com and sign in.
  2. Open Settings, then Account, then Delete account.
  3. Confirm with your password (and your six-digit code if two-step verification is on).

Can't sign in?

Email contact@pingcrood.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my account and your PingCrood username. We check that the request really comes from you, then delete the account in exactly the way described below.

Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Use one of the ways above.

What happens next

Straight awayYour account stops working and every phone and browser signed in to it is signed out.
For 14 daysChanged your mind? Sign in again within 14 days and everything is restored exactly as it was.
After 14 daysThe deletion is permanent and can't be undone. Your email address is free to sign up again.

What is deleted

After the 14 days, everything personal on your account is permanently removed:

  • Your email address and password.
  • Your username, display name, profile photo and cover photo, about and status line.
  • Your birth date, gender, city and country, languages, interests, prompts, occupation and phone number.
  • Your Random Match filters, your two-step verification secret and your chat lock code.
  • Your signed-in devices and sessions (signed out straight away, on the day you delete).

What is kept, and for how long

Messages you sentMessages and media you sent are part of the other person's or group's conversation, so they stay there — shown without your name or photo — until those people delete them or the chat's disappearing-messages timer removes them.
Your statusRemoved 24 hours after you posted it, as always.
ReportsReports you made, or that involve you, are kept for 30 days so admins can finish reviewing them, then deleted automatically.
